The ActiveDrive 8 transmission on Case IH Maxxum tractors – a new generation of comfort
The new CASE IH Maxxum Multicontroller is distinguished by its nice design and top technologies in terms of engine, gearbox, cabin, connectivity systems. It is no coincidence that this tractor has already won a number of prestigious European awards, which confirm its high evaluation by experts and farmers. However, a significant advantage is the modification we will now examine: namely – the model equipped with the new Active Drive 8 transmission.
This is the latest Powershift transmission which has 3 operating ranges providing a total of 24/24 gears. It is the only dual-clutch transmission allowing the creeper option, which can reach a minimum operating speed of 200 meters/hour.
ActiveDrive 8 provides absolutely smooth gear shifting, and incomparable operator comfort and convenience. The gearbox also automatically adapts to changes in speed on uneven terrain and provides excellent traction and stability.
CASE IH Maxxum 150 CVX ActiveDrive 8 also includes the Automatic Performance System (APM), which controls the engine load according to the needs of the terrain. Thus, in situations where there is no need for more power, the tractor reaches even higher levels of super economy.
The Active Drive 8 operation is realized by the multifunction joystick in the cabin. The ergonomic armrest facilitates intuitive operation of the machine, especially when working with modern attachments or a front loader.
High efficiency motors
The heart of each Maxxum Multicontroller tractor aggregates some of the most advanced, economical and productive engines in the industry. It is important to know that Case IH does not use engines from other manufacturers, as is the practice with many brands in tractor construction, and the engines come from the related company FPT Industrial, one of the most prestigious global manufacturers of diesel engines. From the 4 cylinder Maxxum 125 Multicontroller with 125 hp to the 6-cylinder Maxxum 150 Multicontroller with a nominal power of 145 hp, all are equipped with FPT engines.
A highly efficient hinged system for any type of inventory
The CASE IH Maxxum Multicontroller has a lifting capacity of up to 7,864 kg. The hydraulic system is optioned with up to four rear and three mid-mounted electronic remote valves. The capacity of the hydraulic pump supplies oil in a volume of 150 l/min and up to 100 l/min to each individual remote valve. The Maxxum Multicontroller models are more than capable of handling what is attached to them, and in addition, the optional front hitch system has a load capacity of 3,100 kg. Optionally, each of the models in the new series can be equipped with a front loader.
Active front axle suspension for more comfort
The active suspension of the front axle provides a more comfortable ride, increases traction and reduces fuel consumption. On Maxxum Multicontroller models, the addition of a second hydraulic shock absorber provides greater comfort both in the field and on the road, as well as improved traction in tillage operations. The compact design gives the Maxxum Multicontroller tractors a turning circle of only 4.6 meters. The dynamic fender also rotates at 30°, allowing full use of the wide turning angle.
Precision farming for more money and time profit
The Maxxum Multicontroller tractors are equipped with the AFS TM Accuguide Ready system and have AFS Pro 700 colour touchscreen monitors. This means the tractor can have a fully integrated automatic GPS / GLONASS guidance system installed delivering industry-leading accuracy in agronomic farming operations. When using RTK+ correction signal as well, operation accuracy up to 1.5cm can be achieved. In this case, there is no worry about interruption of the RTK+ correction signal because the software has the xFill application. It is automatically activated when the correction is lost and ensures that the machine continues to work for up to 20 minutes with minimal loss of accuracy. Thus, AFS Accuguide maintains the accurate location, direction and operation even in places with radio signal shadow such as barriers, large hills, buildings, etc.
