Nikolay Tsenkov in Stories of Success - how farmers work with Case IH

By choosing the right equipment, we save time – time that no one has!

Nikolay Tsenkov has been dealing with farming since 2003 and has now been working in this field for 17 years, growing the main crops – wheat, sunflower and maize. He says that, like any beginning, farming is tough, but with the equipment and technologies they already have and work with, everything is now much more intensive, efficient and cost-effective. He welcomed us at the end of the harvesting campaign to share his views on the factors that make a farm successful and thriving. 

Nikolay Tsenkov shares his thoughts while showing us the grain barns from the ongoing harvest:

There are many factors which influence the development of a farm. They are very different but the main are a lot of persistence, a lot of work, a lot of self-denial and investing 100% of yourself. And these 100% are supported by the technologies which are evolving and help you be better. 

• Choosing the harvesting equipment is essential for a farm

Nikolay is taking us to the field and explains why his choice on harvesting equipment is firm. Time in the field is the most precious for him, that`s why servicing and preparing the machine is key:  

Choosing the harvesting machine is very important. We all know that time is precious and by choosing the right machines, we`ll save time. Time that no one has. I want to tell everyone that with the Case IH combines we save time. The machines are very easy to service and maintain, and at the same time are genius. Simplicity lies in genius! The machine gives us the time we need to spend on it, so we can spend it working in the field and I am glad I have it.

• According to Nikolay the real key to a successful harvest is the unique automation technology built into the Axial-Flow 9250 – AFS Harvest Command. He shares:

This combine has a unique technology - AFS Harvest Command, which helps the operator to concentrate on the combine in front, and it takes care of everything else that happens behind the operator. The system itself is very flexible to each crop block, because each field is different. Entering the field, it self-adjusts for the field that we will cultivate

• The cab of the Case IH 9250 is a prerequisite for higher productivity of the operator

We are already in the cab and Nikolay demonstrates the harvest in the field. He is the one who can feel the best the operation of the machine, because he is behind the wheel very often during the campaign. According to him, it provides comfort, which predisposes the operator to a longer and tireless day, and this is always a prerequisite for higher productivity. Here is what he told us while harvesting:

The difference between this combine and the previous ones is something very visible and it is the cab itself that provides quite a lot of comfort. It is better soundproofed, with less vibration, more spacious. The system of the combine - AFS, takes care of the purity of the grain, the loss of grain and at any time strives to maintain these parameters at a very high level, which can only happen with the applied technology in the machine itself. The machine is very flexible. It makes its own settings, it reacts at every moment to every stream of grain that enters it.

• What are the differences between Case IH Axial-Flow 9230 and Axial-Flow 9250 – Nikolay Tsenkov shares his experience

The grain producer Nikolay Tsenkov also used the previous model Case IH - Axial-Flow 9230 on his farm and compared the two models.

I also own Case IH 9230 and there`s definitely difference between the combines. The grain tank is larger compared to the previous model, it is the largest so far and allows more time in the field and less unloading times, thus being more efficient than the previous model.

After spending the whole day in Nikolay`s farm, it is inevitable but get convinced that farming is not just his work but his whole life. We are leaving one more farm which showed us its development, technologies and more importantly the people who work tirelessly to take care of our land! Thank you!
