CASE Construction and Scania Demo Tour 2024

27.11.2024

Explosive combination of power, efficiency and state-of-the-art technology

In November, Titan Machinery Bulgaria and Scania Bulgaria joined forces and took advantage of the last fine days of autumn to demonstrate to customers advanced Case heavy earthmoving equipment and Scania tippers in working conditions. The events at the Vetrino quarry (Varna region) and Balsha quarry (Sofia region) brought together a large number of customers who were able to test and be convinced for themselves of the high qualities of the machines.

With the demonstrations and the option for a test drive of the Case CX250E crawler excavator and Case 1021G wheel loader, Titan Machinery Bulgaria placed a strong emphasis on the heavy equipment in the Case CE range. For its part, Scania Bulgaria presented the XT range for heavy construction applications - three- and four-axle tippers as well as a tractor with tipper semi-trailer. The Case earthmoving machines showed their excellent performance when loading Scania tippers, and there was a fixed route within the quarries for the test drive of the trucks.

Case's heavy arsenal

The demonstrated 25.5-tonne Case CX250E crawler excavator is a representative of the E Series, made up of six models ranging in operating weight from 13 to 31 t. These state-of-the-art machines rely on fuel-efficient FPT diesel engines, with an SCR-on-Filter module, without exhaust gas recirculation (EGR), to comply with EU Stage V regulations. Specifically, the Case CX250E features a 6-cylinder FPT NEF6 common rail diesel engine, delivering a maximum output of 188 hp. For demonstration purposes, the excavator was equipped with a 1.4 cc bucket.

As with the other models in this range, the Case CX250E's hydraulic system offers an excellent balance of power, speed, efficiency and economy. On the one hand, this is achieved by adjusting the hydraulic flow to prioritise arm, boom or swing movements, and on the other hand, by using one the four operating modes. When larger excavators are required, customers can order D Series machines, covering the heavier models with operating weights from 36 to 71 t.

In turn, the Case 1021G on display is part of Case CE's wheel loader range, made up of seven models with operating weights from 11 to 28 t. They are powered by advanced FPT diesel engines that use only Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) with AdBlue and Diesel Oxidation Catalyst (DOC) to comply with EU Stage V emission regulations.

The Case wheel loader cab offers exceptional visibility and operator comfort. From the advanced touchscreen display, various settings can be made on the high tech electro-hydraulic control depending on operator preference and site working conditions. The payload system measuring the weight of material in the bucket is standard equipment.

The featured Case 1021G is a 25.4-tonne wheel loader with a 6-cylinder FPT Cursor 9 common rail diesel unit providing a maximum power output of 320 hp. The transmission is a Powershift type by ZF with four gears and intelligent clutch disengagement. The axles are designed for heavy-duty applications, with the front one featuring 100% differential lock. For demonstration purposes, the Case 1021G was equipped with a 3.8 cubic metre bucket and an automatic greasing system to make the operator's job easier.

Working solutions for the customer

During the two events, Titan Machinery Bulgaria paid special attention to several professional solutions providing customers with safety, reliability and less downtime for machine repairs and maintenance. The Case Protect service plans with extended factory warranty of up to 60 months/8000 motor hours, SiteConnect system for efficient remote diagnostics, and SiteWatch telematics module for round-the-clock remote monitoring of the operating and technical status of the machines should be mentioned definitely. Petro-Canada oils were also presented. Thanks to their high quality and optimal additive composition they protect and extend the life of the construction machinery.
